I need sunshine. Without sunshine I find that the pictures of my items do not do them justice. The colors don't come through true. Or the sheens don't show right, like the sheen on the organic cotton scarves.
Unfortunately, during the winter, sunshine is something we don't get a lot of in western New York. We can go, literally, weeks without the sun shining. So if the sun peaks out for just an hour, I grab my camera and go to work.
I take several pictures, trying to show off each item to its best. Then I upload and sometimes need to edit to resize or rotate. And then, of course, writing the post, uploading the photo to blogger and making sure my measurements and descriptions are accurate.
Which is why I decided to do this site as a blog....it allows me to easily make regular additions to the site.
Some of my customers have suggested I get a shopping cart site. I'm looking into it. If you have any feeling about this, I sure would love to read your comments.
Thanks.

I've known how to crochet for a long time....since I was in my 20's (decades ago BG). I stopped when I got busy with my children and work. And then I began again as I helped my daughter with her new business. That's how the face/wash cloths got started.
I really enjoy crocheting, finding it very relaxing. But I needed to find more than just the face/wash cloths. Enter scarves.
It's been an adventure, searching for yarns out of renewable resources. I've been thrilled with what I've been able to find as I think the results are great looking scarves.

Another Personal Post
As I mentioned in my previous post, this business is new for me. So new that I really got started on the late side for the 2008 holiday gift giving season. Even so, I was able to participate in two holiday craft shows in December and was thrilled with the positive response and sales.
So thrilled that I've decided to keep at it. I just called to sign up for a show in April at one of our state parks. The show is on Earth Day and the vendor products all need to, somehow, be 'green'. My items, made out of renewable resources, fit the bill perfectly.
